Where zero sequence can go through a bank

The connection on the left, the circuit the zero network sees on the right — the dots move only where 3I0 can actually flow.

Grounding is necessary, not sufficient. Yg–Yg passes zero sequence without sourcing it; an ungrounded wye blocks it either way.
