NERX Power Consultants LLC was founded in Houston, Texas by Douglas Millner, an engineer with more than 15 years of experience across industrial and utility power systems — including power system analysis, industrial instrumentation, electrical design, transmission planning, protective relaying, and NERC compliance.

Our mission is simple: build a sustainable business that provides marketable, high-quality technical services. Too many consulting firms lose their technical foundation as overhead grows and billable hours take priority over sound solutions. NERX was built to be different.

Hands-On with NERX-PFSA

Trainings are taught hands-on using NERX-PFSA (Power System Fault Analysis) — a browser-based power flow, fault analysis, relay coordination, and phasor analysis program built by NERX strictly for tutorials and training. Students work live with the instructor on the same cases, in the browser, with nothing to install — and no license needed for commercial fault analysis software such as ETAP, CAPE, PSS/E, SKM, or ASPEN OneLiner.

Live Online Series — Fall 2026 Schedule

Instructor-led sessions delivered live online, building from analytical foundations through advanced protection topics. Each course runs three parallel tracks — Tuesdays 11:00 AM, Thursdays 12:00 PM, and Saturdays 6:00 AM (Central). Every session is a single ~90-minute meeting at $150 per session, booked individually — two-part courses run as Part 1 and Part 2 on consecutive weeks.
